I personally think they are very unattractive.

They sure would make quite a big pile, if one wanted to corner the market on them. It is not like scoffing up most of the Larry Corcorans.

Re: Pink OJ's
After posting that above, I knew that I was unsure regarding the validity of my statements, so, I did a "quick study" check out of what I said. And what I found is this:
- it may be far easier to corner the market in pink OJs than I thought, because they appear to be not as common as I thought (<3% of the OJS).
- I have no indication that this (cornering) is being done, however. And I do have information that it is not being done.
If you seek detail on any of this, please ask.

A more careful analysis of my data now indicates that although there is no evidence that all pink cards are being withheld from the market, those with the greater color intensity may be being withheld.
Out of a small, not representative, sampling of 500 OJs currently, or recently available to the market -
no intensely colored pink cards were found in the sampling. All ~ 3% pink cards found were lightly colored.
Out of a smaller sampling of OJs sold > 3 years ago, an equal quantity (~3%) containing many intensely tinted pink cards, were observed.
Further analysis is required here to adequately answer your inquiry, Lee.

Why would anyone hoard these unless they were heavily discounted? Pink N172s look horrible.

Re: Pink OJ's
They are kind of ugly, but a quick look on eBay will show about 13 of them out there right now- plus one that is possibly pink in the 19th Century only. To me they are there, but "white noise" because the cardboard stock overpowers the image most times- ditracting from what could be a nice card. Don't get me wrong I'd buy a Pink Anson if the price was right!!!
