Re: trizzimed or no?
the wear on the corners doesn't seem consistent with the way the corners look. ALso, the lower right corner looks really odd. Also, I find it odd that a caramel card fits perfectly into a PSA slab.

A very nice card with a worrisome bottom edge.

This is exactly what I thought when viewing the scan as well.
What's the grade on the card, Quan?
Re: trizzimed or no?
It's a PSA 5...
Looks a little curved up from the corners and a little short for an E106.

Re: trizzimed or no?
yes it's a psa5. card looks odd to me last night when i stumbled upon it. i then check the cert #s around it (ocd when a card doesn't look right) and the next card was an e106 cobb rejected for alteration...bleh.

Even in person, I think it would be difficult for most people to tell...but from a scan, I think it is very difficult for anyone to tell.
Personally, if I was buying, I'd either bid low or if it was a flat sale, ask for a guarantee ore refund of some sort.

i think it will show much better against a black background...kinda reminds me of card below. like ur walking and suddenly falling off a cliff thinking there's more land.
i have stayed away from a few cards i needed the past couple years just from scans and i don't have any regrets, no matter how low the ending price was.

I'll see you your trimmed PSA 5 E106 Wagner and raise you an equally hatcheted PSA 6 E93 Young. Looks like your boys in Newport Beach got optimistic again.

Re: trizzimed or no?
I can’t comment on whether or not the card is trimmed but do have some interesting information on E106 cards that could lead to why so many are labeled as trimmed and why the Wagner may appear “Trimmed”
A few years ago I visiting a well-known sports auction house, sitting on the owner’s desk was a near set of E106 cards. All of the cards were very sharp, they were either labeled as trimmed or as ex. I was told by the gentleman (who has been in the hobby for decades) that E106 cards were sold in strips, the first strip cards (he had in fact seen and held multiple strips of these cards years prior). As a result of this, some of the nicer examples vary in size. Since very few people are aware of this, the grading companies have not factored this into their grading of these cards.

Great info Zach, thanks!
cccc - that SGC Auth looks great, especially in light of what Zach said. But I wonder - is there a difference between factory cut and cut from a strip? If so, I guess that's what SGC saw. But I would also think there is probably not a difference between factory cut and cut from a strip - if done right. Perhaps the Cobb SGC Auth wasn't a straight cut everywhere.
How much did the SGC Auth go for?

Re: trizzimed or no?
the strip theory zach heard is very interesting...i would still need to see some proof . if it's true, the factory cuts were all over the place back then so i don't know if sgc can differentiate. unlike the wagner above, the AUT cobb looks to have a consistent cut on all 4 corners.
the cobb A went for a little over 2k...knowing what zach just said it's a great buy. it's probably in a psa5 or 6 holder now anyways.

Re: trizzimed or no?
Quan, I was told that the cards were in actual strips, not uncut sheets. I don’t know where any of these strips currently reside and don’t have pictures, only what I was told.
I do think that I see an abnormal quantity of E106 cards labeled as trimmed especially considering their rarity.
