GALLERY feature added

Post by fisherboy7 on Wed Dec 26, 2007 1:58 am

Really impressed by this new feature bow

You'll see a "Gallery" link at the top. There, Full Count members can upload pics to albums in a public gallery here on the forum, and can also create their own personal albums to share your card scans with everyone. Also, members can rate and comment on your pics.

So far, I've created three albums in the public gallery so far: Full Count members favorite cards, new pickups, and dream cards. I can add more by request. I'm still getting familiar with the feature myself, but if you have any questions/problems when using the gallery feature, please post here.

I just found out that the gallery currently has a 10 megabyte storage size frustrated So with the 10 or so pics that have already been uploaded, we've used up 11% of our space.

Additional storage space can be purchased from the host, but for the time being let's limit our pic posting to the public gallery, 1-2 pics per member (sorry).

Looks very neat, i will add some pics when i get time. Also, how much is it to pay for more space, i know the site is free but there is always a catch and it looks like the space for scans is low. I would be willing to pitch in some $ to get more space or an upgrade. It can't be too much.... bananarama

Mark, space for scans on the site is unlimited. It's just the gallery that costs $ to expand. I'm not sure it would make much sense to pay for that when we can post scans anywhere else on the site for free. Still a cool feature though.

Hey fellas, I didn't say we couldn't post anything! There should be enough room for each of us to post a scan of our favorite card in the "Full Count Favorites" album. It would be cool to have a full album featuring everyone's favorite as a permanent feature on the forum.

The gallery was operating in "view only" mode for a few weeks, but it's fully functional again now. We've still got 75% of our gallery space available for members to upload pics of their favorite cards, so by all means feel free righton

And don't forget the Virtual Set area. Anyone is allowed to start a thread for a set. You don't need to have the complete set, just post a write up about the set and scan of at least one card to get things started.
