Opening Day 2015

Post by pariah1107 on Tue Apr 07, 2015 5:22 pm

Opening Day is my favorite time of year (probably because the M's have never made it to the World Series). In ten-twenty years I'll look back on yesterdays game at Safeco Field with fond memories. I witnessed Mike Trout's offensive and defensive prowess on full display as he hit a homer, and robbed another. But for any Mariners fan, the dominance of King Felix was awesome. He becomes only the fourth pitcher since 1900 to collect 4 Opening Day starts with 10+ K's (Bob Gibson, Randy Johnson, and Pedro Martinez). Great to see IMO the best players of this generation on the same field on Opening Day. What a game!

I would love to see some more images from Opening Day around baseball.....

opening Day is always special even if nothing special happens.

king felix is a generational talent, too bad he was stuck with a crappy mariners team for years there. i think i wrote on this board a few years ago that felix and kershaw might be the best shot in our lifetime at 300 wins, haven't really tracked them the last couple years but i think it could still happen.
