Honestly, has there ever been a bad REA auction?

Lot #1 is unreal and already has bids. I'm really interested to see where the Deacon White/ McGreachery OJ ends at.

If I had unlimited funds, I'd be chasing Black Betsy. Lot #1 looks amazing, but to me, there isn't much out there that can surpass Black Betsy.

Adam, saw lots of Venezuelan cards in this auction. Are you mortgaging the house?

No breaking the bank this time, I'm over budget as it is thanks to fleabay and Clean Sweep. Now if there were some '67's in this auction then I might consider eating ramen for a month or two.

I couldn't help the spending, There was a Julio Franco game used bat in the Clean Sweep auction that was calling my name.

I still looking for a Butch Wynegar game used bat. Wouldn't mind a uni to go with it.

Took me and my wife to carry the catalog in! Damn that was heavy!

Haven't gone through it yet, may wait until 1 or 2 days out so that stuff will already be well past what I want to pay.

I have a ton of local stuff I am bidding on in Huggins!

So many auctions, so little money Smile

i still haven't received the catalog...but I perused online...those Ramlys are insane...admittedly cut from a sheet. Someday they'll say that when the Mcnail/Gretsky comes up for sale...and it won't matter!!!!

Nothing I have to have...prices are pretty strong on the first day...lots of placemakers are being placed!

got my catalogue today. Love the magnet that came with it.

Anything I might be interested in is already out of my price range.

There's one card in this auction that I'd realistically consider forking out some dough for. It pictures a grown man wearing long underwear. Should I seek help?

I know I'm weird, but if I had the money I would pay more for Black Betsy than I would a Ruth rookie. Even though lot #1 is beautiful, I's still take Black Betsy over anything else in this auction

There are a hell of a lot more Ruth rookies than there are Joe Jackson bats

Is there controversy surrounding the JJ bat? Price seems incredibly low?

Haven't heard anything. No way I would ever spend more money for a card then that bat.

While the guy at HOS has is own issues, he does a decent job most of the time. Sadly, he has such a hard-on for Lifson and other people that you have to take anything bad he says about Lifson with a huge grain of salt. This time though, he is spot on with the giant holes in the story about this bat.
