week 10-11

Post by sabrjay on Sun Mar 24, 2013 11:23 pm

Here are the results for weeks 10-11

weeks 10-11

I learned that you cannot drop a player that is injured, so Abreu couldn't be dropped.

Wow, that's compression. My club is now worst in the league. Need to be cool and keep fingers off the keys...

(edited to add: understand about Abreu, keep for now and see what he does with Ott out)

Shouldn't but will, CNY Stars release SS Barry Larkin and SP Griffith. Stars sign RP Roy Face and 3B Darrell Evans.

Face to share mop up / middle relief.
Evans to start at 3B at place in the order of error-prone Molitor.
Molitor to platoon with Ashburn at DH in Ashburn's spot in the order.

Thanks Jay, Mike

jeezus our pitching is so bad, i don't really like releasing people. i know they're trying their hardest! real happy with our mashers mashing.

offense: sub SS yount back in for cronin.

pitching: seems like mussina is still not starting, i want to go back to a 5 man rotation 20% each.

strat:
stealing bases: 5.......we're really bad at this

Quan, you are once again the only team that seems to be able to beat me.

I'm still amazed that Wagner is my top RBI guy when I have him leading off.

Les Expos turned out to be a bunch of pretenders. I wouldn't even worry about it, I think the team is going completely in the tank. Don't know why, I just think so.

there seems to be some really strong team with equally good hitting and pitching. with the run differential i expect ben's team to start beasting it soon record-wise.

we've played 56 games, we've given up 10+ runs 13 times! that's gotta be a league record already and we're only 1/3rd into the season.

Reporter asks manager, "How about the execution of your offense?"
Manager responds, "I'm all for it!"

Batting order changes:

1) Shoeless Joe Jackson OF
2) Roberto Clemente OF
3) Ken Griffey Jr. OF
4) Babe Ruth DH
5) Edgar Martinez 3B
6) Jimmie Foxx 1B
7) Thurman Munson/Biz Mackey C (50/50)
8) Craig Biggio 2B
9) Arky Vaughan SS

OFFENSE:
bunting for a hit 3
sacrafice bunt 4
squeeze bunt 3
hit and run 1
stealing 2
base running 2
taking pitches 3

If the Bambino is going to hit .240 he's going to lose some pounds running the bases
