week two

Post by sabrjay on Wed Mar 13, 2013 5:00 pm

Here are the results:

week two

Seems like stud pitchers are taking the brunt of the injury bug. Les Expos and the Grays have staff ERAs almost a full run lower than the next best team and for some odd reason, my leadoff hitter is my leading RBI guy.

Oh what a difference a week makes. Ah, the roller coast of emotions that are only possible in fantasy sports. The week-to-week stress of it will give the symptoms of bi-polar disorder.

I would like to make the following change to my lineup...
1. DH - Eddie Collins
2. 2B - Joe Morgan
3. C - Yogi Berra
4. 1B - Johnny Mize
5. CF - Duke Snider
6. LF - Barry Bonds
7. 3B - Ron Santo
8. RF - Reggie Jackson (vs LHP) / RF - Harry Heilmann (vs RHP)
9. SS - Cal Ripken

Jay, please let me know either way if it is possible to platoon Reggie vs left-handed starters, and Heilmann vs right-handed starters. I don't think I've ever tried it before.

I would like to make the following change to my bullpen. No changes to the starters at this time.

Long relief: Robin Roberts (10% spot starts if possible)
Mop up: Rollie Fingers and Doug Jones
Set up: Roberto Hernandez
Closer: Jeff Reardon

What is the "mgn" measure? I must suck since mine is so negative and everyone else appears to be positive? If a + rating is good, what am I doing wrong? m-mac

MGMN is is margin. It's difference between runs scored and runs given up.

Righty/Lefty platoons are very easy to do.

Changes for the Grays:

1) Change catcher to Gabby Hartnett 80% / Ted Simmons 20%

2) Move Pop Lloyd up to 7th in the batting order, move Gabby Hartnett 80% / Ted Simmons 20% down to 8th in the batting order.

Wow, Teddy Ballgame hitting .146! Thome is a beast right now, though. Wasn't sure if his stats would translate to the sim. Please make the below changes:

Enter John McGraw (3B) for Brooks Robinson
Enter Billy Hamilton (CF) for Willie McGee
Enter Fred McGriff (1B) for Don Mattingly

Remove John Franco from the closer's role and replace him with Jose Mesa. Please place Franco in Mesa's setup role, thanks.

Quan, Connor only played 68 games 2B. The only position he qualifies for is 1B

If the sim subs him, I can't do anything about it. Can't be having illegal line ups. That's cheating nono
