One that I can afford Not going to give away what is at the top of my list but once the BBQ sauce biz gets rolling, rare 19c types will be my focus for the Gang of 10.

I think there's enough to go around, but couldn't afford 19th century types, anyways. Would need to start my own BBQ sauce biz, not gonna happen. So I'll just have to enjoy the cards I already own.
Speaking of rare 19th c types, did anyone see the G&B Keefe that's a PSA 8 in REA? Incredible card!!!!

I know what my next acquisition will be. I'm a few weeks away, but won't out myself.

Well, I've got almost 350 cards on the "Still To Go" list, but the biggees are the '59 Topps Mantle and Gibson, the '34 World Wide Gum Ruth, and Cobb and WaJo from The Monster. Minus possibly the Ruth (just cuz it doesn't roll around much), I think I'll pin 'em all down this year. And next year I'll take up that second job!

Chris, I'm just kidding, obviously...
As far as my acquisitions go, I am pretty much done, I think... I don't have the $, so that is an issue, and unless I'm willing to let something else go, and I'm not sure I am, this could pretty much be it.
So I'll be watching REA from the sidelines this year, and I'm not so sure that's a bad place to be. Let others do the damage for once.

No interest in the 19th century cabinet beauties in the Heritage Signature auction?
I'd like a nice T211 Dutch Bronkie. I know where 3 of them are and haven't been able to pry them loose...

Naaaaaahhh, those 19th cabs are very nice, but since they are outside the OJ set, I would rather stick to n173's. Of course, many are the same photos as n173's, so maybe you will think that doesn't make sense.
But I pretty much blew the rest of my loot on the Mack card, and then three days after the Mack arrived, I wound up losing a crown and getting $1700 worth of unexpected dental work. So there is no way I am bidding on anything.
But it will be fun to watch the fireworks in REA.

Pete couldn't hook you up? I'm sure he'd have done it for a Tolstoi or something, knowing his love for T206.

Re: Your next acquisition will be...?
Pete, you wouldn't believe the prices here in Boston... I was done in by a chew candy. It took out two - two! - of my crowns on the left bottom. Stupid, stupid! I knew not to eat those, but completely forgot.
Well, he got one of the crowns back on, but the other was warped. Putting the old one back on cost a hundred bucks and then the new crown was $1575... and that was after a $100 discount.
Afterwards, I decided to poke around because I was friends with a dentist at a gym I used to go to... so I called his office to see if he was cheaper - wrong! Base price: $1825. Yikes.
But I will say, he did a great job on the crown!

aside...not likely the crown warped...more likely the teeth shifted a little causing the crown not to fit...or it just didn't fit well in the first place.

Yep, though in one way it was good fortune... there was a considerable amount of decay under the tooth and probably would've needed a root canal in a few years if it hadn't come off. Also, there had been some pain chewing on it... so I think it was for the best.
That said, will definitely be avoiding sticky candies!
