Clemente died 40 years ago today

I remember this when it happened. He was always one of favorite non-Twins players.

lesson to be learned here: don't do nice things for humanity

The first ML game I ever attended was in 1966. The Pirates at St. Louis. Bob Gibson won 4-1. A 4 hitter. Clemente had one hit. I'm a big Cardinal fan, but it seemed I spent half the game watching Clemente. He just seemed to draw your eye. Graceful like a cat.
