Lucas, you have a Buddy Myer card yet? That was the one card that I swear I always saw anytime a got offered a group of cards back in the 80s.

Not yet. I've been seeing suspiciously little of the low numbers in the set, actually (he's #4). Odd. It's the high numbers that I figured would be scarce.

Purchased this item off fleabay in hopes of finishing my spartan 1949 Yakima Bears collection (Western International League champs 1949-50). This photo is of "Big" Dewey Soriano in his Yakima Bears uniform in 1950. He looks like Buttermaker, the early years. He was the owner/president/relief pitcher of the Bears (went 14-2 in 1949, and 6-2 in 1950). The photo is mislabeled "1930 Drew Soriano".

Anyways, I did not realize Dewey and his brother (Max) were the original owners of the Seattle Pilots (1969), and I also did not realize other major leaguers played for the Yakima Bears in 1950 including: Joe Orengo (manager), Mike Baxes, Pete Corscarart, Dave Melton, and Lou Novikoff. Now I feel obligated to get cards/photos/ or autographs of them. A simple $17 transaction has nearly obligated me to buy another $150 in memorabilia. Am I sick? Has this ever happened to you?

That's the beauty of research, you find out new things that lead you to new things that you want for your collection.

Most certainly. The German and Irish players of the 19c had a bad reputation as hard drinkers and trouble makers.

This morning...I picked up an e98 orange jennings off fleabay to complete my mini run of all 4 colors of e98 jenningses...WOO F'in HOO!!!!!!! It's been a bunch of years in the making.

I also...accidentally picked up an e98 evers and bender...Oopsie?!?! Maybe I'll go for the set?!?!
