Next Goodwin Auction

Wowsers...check out the SGC 84 King Kelly in the next Goodwin auction...what a beauty!!!!!!

gotta hand it to bill, he gets some amazing items for being a one man*** operation. (not gonna even mention rea, rob's in another league).


***he does have an assistant tho, don't know if that's his wife.

And a handful of e107 hofers too....pretty cool.

I am curious to see his "Piedmont 1916 Famous & Barr Co. Walter Johnson #90 PSA 6 EX-MT "1 of 1; Highest Graded Copy on BOTH the PSA & SGC "Pop" Charts"! I assume the "Piedmont" part of the description is in error!

It's a phenomenal card. Frankly, I think it's a Wonka card. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Wonka came down with it. Check the final bid price, and if it's exorbitant, you know it's Wonka's.

My only qualm with that card is that the pose seems rather mundane... it doesn't really capture the romance of King Kelly very well.

I was just perusing the Goodwin catalog lot number 10... i'm in 92 Dockman complete set... Where Bill describes for a whole paragraph how the Wagner batting pose has a rare inverted Menagerie back. The lot shows practically every card in the set except for the wagner with the menagerie back. Wtf?

On another note this current goodwin auction kicks ass for me...lots og cool, interesting stuff...not just t206's!

I really like that Wagner, but that grade makes no sense.

just a heads up... Goodwin ends tonight.

Put in a half-dozen good solid bids - got beat bad on all of them...going to bed richer for the next quality auction. Won't lose a wink of sleep.

Egads... another crazy Goodwin auction!!! I bid on a bunch of e 94s... some to upgrade... and the two I need to finish my set. Let's just say... Mission accomplished... But at a price!!!!


I realize e 94 is very popular these days... but some prices were insane!!!

23K for kelly... sounds about right!

I was happy with the price, but the sister Tinker card with a Cycle 460 back in a 50 went off $3500 plus BP a few auctions ago and a M Brown Cycle 460 PSA 4 went for $2500 plus BP in his last auction so to a point somewhat disappointing, but still a big price.

Congrats Pete on your finish. Time for a new venture?

Haven't got a chance to go through whole auction yet, that happen some time today.
