I'll even provide a preference order! And since we're talking about money not being object, this list implies not only the card but a graded version of it at 5 or higher.
10. 1955 Bowman Bill Tuttle (has to be PSA10) - Good ole Bill.
9. 1951 Topps Connie Mack Major League All-Stars - I'll take Konstanty, Stanky, or Robin Roberts. Not picky.
8. 1954 Bowman Ted Williams - Money be damned, I will have this one eventually.
7. 1934 World Wide Gum Babe Ruth
6. 1934 World Wide Gum Lou Gehrig
5. 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle RC
4. T206 Cobb w/ a Cobb back
3. T206 Plank
2. T206 Wagner - I don't mind being cliched!
And El Numero Uno:
1. 1914 or 1915 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson - but not just an A. Although, given that the card you see above is currently sitting on ebay for the nifty sum of $25K, an A will be just fine if someone wants to give me one!

Re: 10 cards money no object
If I recall, SGC objected to that card because it was too thin for the required size and therefore gave it an A even though they could find nothing wrong with it. I think Heritage sold it and it went for like 10k, but I can't totally remember. Question is, why doesn't the owner crack and resubmit to PSA or BVG? Maybe it was rejected by them, too...

CJs are already just about the thinnest cards ever made. How in the world did they determine it was too thin?

I had meant too narrow, referring to the width, not the depth. Sorry for the confusion. It sold a while ago and I honestly can't remember much else about it or exactly what they were expressing in the auction description.

Christy Mathewson? '-)
BTW: If we can go non-baseball, I'd like to add a highly graded 65T Namath RC to my list as a 10b. Right now I could probably swing a PSA 5 if it went a little low at auction. A PSA 8 or 9 or 10, however.... That definitely qualifies for this kind of list. Lord, I can't imagine what a 10 would go for.

Re: 10 cards money no object
And really, as I look back over my list now, I'm probably quite foolish to put the T206 Wagner (and the T206 Plank, as well, come to think of it) behind the Cracker Jack Jackson, cuz dollar-wise that's a mistake. However, in terms of the 'unwritten emotional swag' of baseball history, Jackson carries much more weight. And to harken back to the original query, we are theoretically not concerned with money here. So to heck with it; I stand by my list!

Couldn't agree more Jamie. A Google search resulted in this from the 2005 REA:
It sold from 12K and change then so I would imagine it would take a nice bump if sold today...especially with that clarity.
I completely forgot the T4 Buck Weaver. Courtesy of a past Legendary auction:

Yeah, my jaw dropped the first time I saw that card. Whoever owns it is very, very lucky.

10) 1938 Goudey Heads up Joe DiMaggio
9) 1916-20 Big Head Strip Card Babe Ruth
8) 1912 Boston Garter Walter Johnson
7) 1914 Baltimore News Babe Ruth
6) 1914 Boston Garter Joe Jackson
5) 1914 E145-1 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson
4) 1911-14 General Baking Company Ty Cobb
3) 1949 Leaf Leroy "Satchell" Paige
2) 1949 Leaf Jackie Robinson
1) 1916 Zeenut Jimmy Claxton
Money may not be an object, but condition would be. Don't believe I've ever seen a Big Head Strip Card with a Numerical Grade. Yes, there are earlier Robinsons' but I like the look of those Leaf cards. Jimmy Claxton, duh!

just give me 10 of the Texas Tommy type 2's (including all the HOFers) and I'd be happy.

The Peck & Snyder Reds is iffy. Push comes to shove I'd probably take a Texas Tommy Jackson over the P&S.

Re: 10 cards money no object
What I find strange and cool at the same time is that there isn't a single card that makes an appearance on every single list.
What a great hobby.

Re: 10 cards money no object
i have some that mirrors others. i struggled for the last few.
my 9 plus a dh:
t206 plank
t206 wagner
t210 jackson

just so young
w600 cobb
boston garter walter johnson

Re: 10 cards money no object
I'll take the E107 Wagner if Q doesn't want it.
If money were no object and the cards were theoretically available to purchase, I'd choose:
E107 Wagner
E107 Matty
W600 Cobb
M101-5 Ruth
1914 Boston Garter Johnson (maybe JK & A Johnson instead once I'd see one)
E107 Lajoie
Just So Young
1914 Boston Garter Speaker
Anson in Uniform
Peck & Snyder (large) Red Stockings
