CJ Authentics

So I wouldn't be highjacking a thread I am starting this one about CJs getting Authentic grades and why. I have this Barry with a goofy cut that also got a Auth grade, I think due to the cut. I also think it is the same reason the Jackson got the Authentic grade.

We should try to dig up that Jackson auction result and see what the auction description said. It's interesting to me that something would get an A grade by SGC just because of the cut, even if there is no evidence of trimming.

I believe that Chris' OJ Harry Wright had the same thing happen.

Jamie, Can you post the Jackson scan?

It does make no sense since all sorts of T206s/OJs have grades applied with diamond cuts and odd cuts.

Here it is. It seems like the Jackson has somewhat similar characteristics to the Barry as in the card doglegs to the right bottom corner a bit.

ridiculous policy by sgc (and psa). if it's factory cut and unaltered it should get a numerical grade. the minimum size requirement is weak. if they grade oversized ts then undersized should not be a problem.

Speaking of mini's. I am with you Quan. I don't understand how they put grades to oversized but not to under sized cards they deem authentic. I do have one other than the Guiheen.
