I have had no experience with the seller. Kind of strange it smells like smoke though.

I saw them and my feeling was the OJ's are fake. He had another desirable CDV from the 1870's that was clearly fake and sold for just a few bucks. Judging by the end price, I don't think that Clarkson fooled any of the OJ collectors who are "in the know".

We all know that if they say they don't know if it's real or not, then it's most likely a fake. If they have even an inkling of what they have they will find out if it is real or not to get as much money as possible.

judging by the measurements given in the description, they gotta be fake.
