How about a little game today...as I'm very slow at work today! We've kinda discussed this recently...there are lots of vintage issues whose valuations have been hit particularly hard...let's name them! But please...only one issue per post to give as many people a chance.

I haven't tracked Diamond Stars too close but I know that I can't seem to move mine for what I think is a reasonable price.

I used to live in San Francisco, what can I say other than it seems to be a good time to buy Diamond Stars. I guess the high numbers still wouldn't come cheap though.

I'll jump in with my usual answer - today is a great time to buy T3s.

The prices have been down across the board on these in the last couple years...even at the higher grades, like EX.

A couple recent finds ensure supply is good at the moment, and also auctions seem to have a good assortment.

I think the set is so beautiful and significant that the prices are likely to rise from here!

T202s are almost back to the price level when I started my set in 2000. Fine by me, half ass going after all the cards with alll the backs.

I suppose this was kind of a loaded question as it seems many/most type cards that were perceived as rarer than they really are a few years ago can be had at bargain basement prices...such as T216's...a bunch of larger collections have recently hit the market additionally driving prices towards Satan...if u believe in that kind of stuff!

I think T3's are a great buy, I dont really collect them but I just picked up one for about half the price I paid 4 years ago for the same card (sold the first a year ago at a loss and got this one even cheaper).

Hi Pete,

Curious whether you have seen T216 dip? The recent stash that David Levin bought were being sold at prices I found to be sky high.

It seems to me there have been t216's from Levin...bunches in Goodwin right now...and I thought I saw others on ebay or in another auction recently where some commons sold in the 1-250 range...which seems pretty cheap to me...considering I sold a common to Cozmo for 1K within the past year...and it seemed commons were selling in the 4-600 range not too long ago.

I guess these were kinda beat up but still went cheap, imho:

Thanks for the links - I had not seen those two auctions. I admit that I don't follow/collect the set broadly.

I did follow a very recent eBay auction for a Speaker in SGC 10 that went pretty high (not b/c of me...I did not bid...). I noted it because I had bought mine in SGC 20 (and a lot nicer with decently square corners) from Eric - the KottonKing - a couple years ago...the eBay one went for quite a bit more than I paid, despite its lower condition:

I'd add E103's and T204's to the list. They're both at all time lows right now imo.

Really? E103's seem kinda expensive to me these days as I've been looking to replace a type I recently traded?!?!?!
