Like him or not his stamp on the NFL is undeniable. I don't like him holding cities hostage, or black-balling Marcus Allen, and the silver and black lost some luster over the past decade in no small part to this benevolent dictator. However professional football owes this man a great deal of gratitude for guiding the league through the NFL-AFL merger, and his teams subsequent four decades "commitment to excellence" (lately illusory).

i wasn't around when he was innovative and fresh...but just as an nfl fan today i say it's time to go. his philosophy and thinking is archaic and outdated. he's held the raiders franchise hostage long enough. the davis family should sell whatever share they have left and leave the football decisions to better football people.

The game past him by in the mid 80s. I was a huge Raiders fan as a kid and made a killing on the Super Bowl where the Raiders beat the Vikings.
