BBCHOF nominations now being taken

I figure that now is a good time start a new round of Baseball Card HOF nominations.

I'll start off with Pete's Rowdy Lowdy with the Red Cross back.



The t209 Thompson (the guy in the Uncle Sam get up in the upper left corner



and the t210 Benny

I'd nominate all of them except the t209 and t210...gotta think about those some more. Beautiful delahanty there jamie!

How can you not like a guy in an Uncle Sam outfit and guy who is riding his imaginary motorcycle that he's going to buy when he gets that big league contract.

Oh I like them...but we're talkin' the HOF here?!

Maybe I'm weird. Well, I know I'm weird, but I love offbeat cards like those. The HOF should be cards that stand out, for whatever reason and these certainly do. A green portrait t206 Cobb, while a classic card is boring to me and not worthy of the HOF.

Is the M101-4/5 Ruth not in? If so, I nominate it.

Jay...we're all a bit weird...and I agree with your statement...I'd vote for the benny...but probably not thompson...you can find better than that?!

If the m101/4/5 ruth is not in...this is a travesty!

I plan on doing a "close but no cigar" vote later this summer. Most of the cards that got 50% percent will get another shot at getting elected.

Jamie, I think the pose, contrasted with what we know of Delahanty's lifestyle (and deathstyle) is what sets that card apart from other Delahanty issues.

I would like to nominate the 1917 Boston Store/Collins McCarthy Joe Jackson for its neat "Bat at ready" pose, and re-nominate the 1952 Bowman Stan Musial. "The Man" belongs in the BBCHOF!
