The Yankees are to old to win a Championship can't believe they didn't figure that out last year, looking forward to watching the Twins and Red Sox fight it out to make the world series ! Yes Huskie mania is running rampid here in exciting Connecticut ! It wasn't pretty but a win is a win and if the championship game was so ugly and it was how much does that say Duke sucks !!
I see the government is threating to shut down ? WTF, if the IRS closes shop refunds will stop being sent, I sure hope I get mine by the deadline what a joke. So does this mean we don't have to pay our taxes if they close shop ? I thought only big companies and major league teams could strike but now our govt is threating ? Why don't they just raise taxes ????????????????

And, But and or are phases and clauses. What kid in our generation didn't see them. I didn't understand them until I was in college, not sure if I still do.

Speaking of clauses did anyone see Santa this year?

As for the beer in Germany, i prefer IPA but will drink anything that is called beer...

As for the Govt. shutdown, they want to raise the debt ceiling past 14 Trillion $, so they can spend, spend, spend OUR money...if only the Govt. bought baseball cards we all would be rich!!!! What, i sold my T206 PSA 1 common for $120,000 to a buyer named USAGOVT on Ebay.

Once again, Lee can't get it right. It goes...hooking up words and phrases and clauses.

I think needs a remedial English class along with that Palin character.

Palin's running mate Bachmann isn't bad looking either. Are Tea Party women the new dumb blonde?

bi-partisan? Bah. We are pro-SGC and proud of it. Just like FoxNews is proud to pretend that their opinions are news even though there is no journalism involved.

You have to admit, all news channels do it. MSNBC is the 180 degrees of FOX. The "Ed" show and "Maddow" show are a perfect example of the "Beck" and "O'rielly" shows, in reverse.

Mr Ed...Bernie Madolph...WTF...Bipartisan...my hiney! John Stewart...SGC...NY Yankees...East Coast over West Coast...Domician Republic over Haiti...This thread is becoming derailed...is this possible to derail a derailable thread? Somehow it's happening! Starbucks...Caribou...or Dunn Brothers... or Seattles Best...or Petes...or Dunkin...depending on your region...that's the question...all politics aside!

And while we're pollin'...how about vodka...speaking of Russians? I prefer Kettle 1!

Oh...and Lee...nice Muff...but I prefer brunettes w/nice tay tahs!

If you like brunettes Palin and Bachmann are the ticket, although you can see in Bachmann's eyes she is a complete pysco she is probably extremely wild in the sheets. Maybe Larry Flynt could offer them 10 million each for a girl on girl spread since he already made a porno movie called Nailin' Paylin ! Atleast that is what I heard anyways.

Yeah, MSNBC is very left but they don't have anyone as insane as O'Reily and Beck.

I was kind of floored, but have to agree, when John Stewart was voted the most trusted news person in America in a Time poll.

Coffee is terrible unless it's chocolate covered beans or in ice cream.

Vodka? It's all about the pine trees. Give me some Bombay Sapphire any day. Then again, Sambucca will do the trick too.

Bombay Sapphire is my poison and it has the coolest blue bottle, I always have a bottle or two on hand but cannot drink it without the lime. I have to admit I enjoy watching Glen Beck he always seems so coked out but is hillarious, I only see him when the inlaws are here or we are there as they all they watch is news, political garbage and the Red Sox !! Palin is attractive but Demi Moore is unreal, the older she gets the better she looks, Ashton is definately a lucky guy !!!!!!!!!!

There is a remedy to keep Palin's mouth from words coming out... humping

Ok, that may be mean...i still love the 3 words that do come out of her mouth - "Don't retreat, Reload"...I am 100% for "Legal" gun rights.

Ahhh...I would have to disagree about MSNBC people not being as insane as Beck/O'rielly. Maddow/Ed are so left wing that they really think the govt. should GIVE all americans (and illegals) free money, healthcare, homes, cars, ipad's, iphone's....i can go on forever. I don't mind helping people get on their feet but redistribution of wealth can never work.

Ok, now this thread has been really hi-jacked.

I think redistribution of wealth is the only thing that can save this country, we need to take more from everyone working and give it to those who don't so they can turn around and ask for more. Why should hard working people get to enjoy the fruits of their labor ?

LOL!!!

Johnny H....you live in the same state as me, nothing better than hearing from Dannel Malloy, "we all must pay, shared sacrafice." And when he says about the taxes he collects is "his money". Watch how fast businesses in CT relocate.

WE don't have a backyard anymore. Just a giant mud hole. Should make for an interesting wedding reception. We spent Almost $200 on booze and another $350 on food so there should be plenty for everyone. The guests get to be guinea pigs for newly tweaked Maniacal Mango BBQ sauce.
