New round of Baseball Card HOF

Ok, time to nominate cards for the Baseball Card HOF. Nominating previous cards is fine. This doesn't have to be the most expensive cards or cards of HOFers. It can be a card with a cool picture or is significant for some other reason. Please provide a scan of the card so those not familiar with can see it.

The last round saw the Ty Cobb with Cobb back get inducted.

I don't have a scan but I nominate the OJ...WHitney w/Dog as to me it is an absolute classic! And I'm shocked the t206 Plank isn't already inducted as well.

And for Jay...the 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle would also be a worthy candidate!

And wahat about the Billy Ripken f*** Face vard?

In the More Modern Catagory (1946 & Up), I would like to nominate the Venerable Classic 1952 Bowman Musial. Unfortunately I don't own one but I will God Willing and the creek don't rise.

How about the just so cy young and the the t206 doyle maybe the 1914 cracker jack matty?

I'd second the Just So Young and the '14 CJ Matty for nomination.

Before we go further, though... what are the critieria upon which the cards are being judged? Is "hobby importance" a part of the criteria? ... or is based on scarcity, value, appearance, etc ? Depending on the criteria, I may be inclined to vote differently on different cards.

Some cards would likely get in regardless of the criteria (T206 Wagner for one), but more borderline cards would require more scrutiny against the metrics being used.

Also, I presume we are not going to be judging the condition of the card being presented (unless it is a one of, I suppose)

wasn't the just so nominated before and just miss? i think some voters kept it out first ballot cuz cy racked up too many losses.

There really isn't any set criteria per se. The card can get in because of hobby improtance i.e. t206 Wagner, Peck & Synder Red Stockings,etc. Others get in just because they are amazing looking cards, like e92 Nadja Rebel Oakes. The cards are voted on by everyone and everyone has their own idea as to what cards should be in a baseball card HOF.

I'd also like to nominate the E107 Matty. That is a beautiful black and white. I kind of have a man crush on that particular card.

c'mon Lee...my proposed cards are all legitimate contenders?!?! The 56 topps Mantle MVP is a classic!!! I've got yankees on the mind...I AM at fantasy camp right now ya know!!! Hope it's not too cold up there in Alec!!!

And yes...that E107 Matty is incredible...my jury is still out on the 1 of a kind just so Young?! Isn't it heavily restored too!
