Why?
When I went to the show here in the Twin Cities today I grabbed a catalogue from the Legendary table. One of the lots offered is a PSA9 t206 Greminger. In the description it is listed as Ex-Harris Collection. Why? The whole point of collectors resubmitting Harris Collection cards is the stigma attached to them. I'd also be curious to know what the grade was when it had the Harris tag. I'm guessing it's a 9 also.
The biggest joke about the Harris Collection "disappearing" is that all those stigmatized cards are no longer carry the Harris Collection label and that the company that is responsible for these altered cards getting grades is the same one that is double checking them. That's sort of like asking a counterfeiter to double check and make sure his bill real.

Re: Why?
It sold in their Nov auction for 15k... to clear up any confusion, in this case, it doesn't look like the card has been re-slabbed. It still says "Harris Collection" on the slab.

Looking more closely at the card, I'm not sure it's been altered. It's perfect top/bottom, the right side is diamond cut. I think the story with this guy Harris was that he was paying tremendous premiums for high grade cards, so people started trimming them in order to sell to him. But that doesn't mean that every card he bought was trimmed.
