I love the World Cup. A good point for the U.S. today. Spain should be tough. I'll go with a shock Cote d'Ivoire victory, but only if Drogba can play at close to 100 percent.

Former college soccer coach chiming in here... proud of the job done by Bradley and the Boys against a technically superior team... what a difference goalkeeping can make! He was a little late in subbing Findley, and I would have gone to a 4-5-1 late in the game, but I liked the Holden substitution and overall the team played well. Hats off to Dempsey, my favorite player... he may have been lucky, but you've got to shoot the ball to score the ball!

ugh my WC favorite spain just got shut out. they gotta step it up in the next 2. maybe parity has come to soccer also, most of the games have been real close and not alot of scoring.

N Korea managed to score against Brazil and Brazil certainly didn't look very dominating either.

No, he retired after the last one. It's too bad because he think he would've headbutted his own coach this time around. France is just terrible this year.

Are the Italians the biggest bunch of pussies playing soccer or what? You barely touch one of those guys and they are on the ground crying like a little school girl. No wonder the FIFA has started cracking down on dives. Too bad they didn't call the Italian for diving instead of giving a penalty kick. New Zealand would have won the game if the ref made the right call.

So true. Kaka (really? Someone would actually want that for a nickname?) got jobbed on that red card. Dude runs into Kaka, take and albow to the chest and reaches for his face like he got kissed by Witchiepoo. The 4th official really blow that one.

The refs tried hard to screw us again but we finally scored in the 92nd minute. We won group C so now we'll see if we can win a match in the knockout rounds.

If the US had been knocked out, I think the whole reffing situation would have come into even more question than it already is. Officiating during the tournament has been a joke. It'll be interesting to see how the game between Ghana and Germany will be officiated. If Ghana wins, it puts an African team in the second round and it would knock out Germany.

I was pretty depressed the entire time and then when we scored at the end, man, I went crazy. I was so mad about the Dempsey goal being called off and then heartbroken when he hit the post. Unbelievable stuff! Thank God we came through at the end, because we certainly deserve to go through.
