Major Props to Lee

At bowling tonight, Lee rolled his first 300 game ever. About time the sandbagger got it done.

Congrats Lee, that's quite an accomplishment.....how many other times were you close? I once (a long time ago) started a game with 9, but then the pressure got to me. Was you game in league play?

Yes, I did do it in league play. I had asseprations of turning pro while I was in college, but an injury (twice actually, and a lingering one at that) made me realize this would never happen. I am a decent bowler but have never been one to start games out with a string of strikes. I had the first 11 only one other time only to leave a ten pin for a 299.

It was an accomplishment I hoped to achieve on my "bucket list".

The funny thing is that I went the rest of the night ( I got the 300 in the first game) witout getting 2 strikes in a row again but I did not open a frame all night long.

I'm lucky to even break 100 in real bowling or on my son'w Wii game.

I've got my rings somewhere...same night 300/814. Now if I could just get a hole in one.

800 series is tougher than a 300 game. I rolled an 801 in an unsanctioned league while I was in the Navy. The two highest game I ever rolled were in that series, 290-277. I've only had two other games over 270, they were both 276. Closest I've come to 300 was the 277. I had the first 9. I've only had the first 9 one other time.

Now Lee needs to get his sanctioned 800 series.
