Gil,
I wouldn't call you crazy at all. Those are awesome cards. The Matty Coupon is sweet!

Welcome to the forum, David! Your name sounds familiar - are you an OBC member? I was part of the group up until a few years ago.
I like your '54 Bowman Williams "mini"
Those are some Tiptons to be proud of!
ps. Gil your Mayo Delahanty is a beaut.

Thanks. Yes, I am an OBC member, which means that lots of my cards as messed up. I meant to write a little into in my first post but I forgot.
I hope the cards I posted weren't too new for the standards of this group, but those were the scans I had handy.

No worries at all. We like to keep it mostly prewar, but a few 50's cards here and there won't hurt anyone.

OBC is a close knit baseball card collectors group that focuses on helping out the fellow collector. Members post their wantlists and cards are swapped and often given away with the aim of "hitting" each other's list as much as possible. Rarely if ever does money change hands. Most of the cards dealt with in the group are raw/low grade. There is a bit of prewar activity but the majority of swaps involve 50's-70's cards. It's a really nice group with a great bunch of passionate collectors.
Here is a LINK to the OBC website. What did I miss, David?

I'd say that you described the essence of OBC fairly well there.
I've got a small number of pre-war cards. I'm working on collecting St. Paul Saints and Minneapolis Millers as one of my sidelines.
Re: Post your most lovable beater card.

I am working on the 1911 Mecca Double Folder T201 set. I also collect the New York Giants and Nap Lajoie.
Re: Post your most lovable beater card.
I too collect St. Pauls cards, David. But I've only got about a half dozen so far.
Re: Post your most lovable beater card.
old time dealers would grade that brown EX with some minor rounding corner.
