Large 1906 Cubs/Sox WS Supplement
Just in today. I've never seen one of these before, has anyone else? A large 16x20 Chicago Daily News Supplement depicting the Cubs / Sox World Series of 1906. Cubby Hof's include, Mordecai Brown, Frank Chance, Joe Tinker, & Johnny Evers. WSox Hof's include Ed Walsh, George Davis, & owner Charles Comiskey in top hat. Sorry for the dark slightly blurred images. The thing is lighter in color & crystal clear in person. Gonna get a nice frame and matte for it this weekend. Tony A.

Thanks Tony, I have been fine, Just been taking a little break from the cards and pursuing my other hobby of Metal detecting. It's a cheaper way to find old stuff

Jerry,
Very cool. It reminds me of my coin collection from when I was a kid. Buffalo nickels, wheat pennies, & mercury dimes.
Had a little bit of everything. Still have em' to. Did you actually find all that's shown with the metal detector?

Yes, I found those and more. I just kept those because of their age. I sold the silver mercs, rosies, and washington quarters when silver got high. I think I bought a BB card with the proceeds.
It's pretty cool to dig a 120yr old coin out of the ground and you know that someguy dropped it 120yrs ago and your the first one to touch it since he dropped it. And you learn alot about local history by doing research on places to hunt.

Very nice Jerry. That's just as exciting as card searching. Keep up the good work. Hope you find a buried treasure soon.

Nice to hear from you, Jerry. The coins are very cool, but we all know you'll be back to the prewar cards before long
BTW, the frame job looks great Tony. Very clean presentation.
