June 2009 Pick Up Thread

I couldn't be happier with these two. The first one is one of the earliest female team images I've seen - maybe 1890 based on similarity to a Franklin cab that is dated 1890. There are definitely earlier team photos out there, but this one is pretty early - most of the female team photos start appearing ~1910.

This thing is crystal clear in person. Check out the girl top row third from right. Lordy she looks young. They all look young!



And this one is really cool too. I've not seen this image of Alta Weiss before.



Good month. I'm looking forward to the "best pickups of the quarter" thread at the end of this month. That was a great idea on someone's part.

I'm super duper excited about this new addition to my Jersey City collection. I didn't think I was going to see this card at an affordable price in a long time, and one of our newest members had this one. Thank you so much Scott. This is one the toughest ones on my JC wantlist.
