August 2009 Pickup Thread
Feeling good about finally acquiring a rare type card that I've wanted for a while, even if it's in crappy shape! Thanks, Andrew.

still very presentable and the paper loss on the back isn't all that bad. Definitely a worthy addition on a budget

National Score
Great pickup on the Clement, Ben!
I was elated to pick up a very tough one for my E107 HOFer set at National.

Thanks Brian! Right back at you - that E107 Kelley is such a tough card to find! Another addition to an already impressive E107 HOFer collection. Congrats.

Awesome card Brian!
Here is what I scored at the National - not many deals to be had, but there were a LOT of great vintage cards...
Will add scans later...

Great looking M116s for the grade. Love the Yum Yum Jimmy Ryan too. Tough card. I still think Ryan could end up in the HOF one day.

Max Carey team cabinet photo Pre Pitts Pirates
(2) early team cabinet photo's of hall of famer Max Carey, (1909) when he played for the
Concordia Theological Seminary baseball team.
Called up by the Pittsburgh Pirates the very next year, (1910) where he would play for the next 16 years.
1st one - (Overall size 8x10) Carey is the fourth player over from the left, bottom row.
2nd one - (Overall size 4x6) Carey is third player in sitting down from the right wearing the sweater.
