Time to rethink the collection

Post by sabrjay on Thu May 15, 2008 3:00 pm

I've actually decided to give up on the player set. Even though most of the tough and expensive cards I need are out of the way, what is left in the hard part of this pursuit is so ridiculously rare that I've decided that I would rather go back to my roots and pursue the sets I love the most...t205, Delong and Diamond Stars.

The only cards I'll be keeping that aren't in those sets are the m101-5 Thorpe, e92 Nadja Oakes and e270 Colgan red border Speaker. Everything else is my collection is available for sale or trade.

my collection

No, the die-cut Johnson won't be going anywhere. I was working from the top of my head and hadn't looked at all my cards when I made this post. I might find one or two more that I will hang on to, but for now, those 4 look to be it. I might hang on to the CJ Plank. Great looking card with a technically low grade. Most likely, if the offer is right, I will sell it though.

Wow Jay! Crazy to hear, but I have to say I was looking at the Clean Sweep auction and they have a partial DeLong set...those cards are amazing!

Assuming I get one of the final cards I need for my Minneapolis set tonight, I'm thinking about that set.

When do you head out to Italy?
